I hope the fact that you are here means that you are curious about who we are and why we are making ceiling fan pulls.
Well, it all started a long time ago in Paris, France. Over eggplant parmesan in a small Italian restaurant, a romantic marriage proposal was made. Several months later, after plans had been made, guests were invited, and a dress was designed, the future bride (that would be me) was in a desperate search for a spectacular necklace to be worn on the wedding day. I knew exactly what I wanted, but it was nowhere to be found. My dear friend and fellow expatriate stepped up to the plate and said "I can show you how to put it together." Those New Yorkers can do anything!! I found the stones, she found the clasp, and soon we had a piece of art walking down the aisle (that would be my necklace).
Three little boys later, a transatlantic move, and lots of diaper changes in between, it seemed as if I wasn't the only thing to be reproducing. My one necklace became ten... twenty... hundreds!!! I had many necklaces for every outfit I owned. They were selling off of my neck, out of my living room, in boutiques around town and, finally, on the internet.
The whole ordeal was making me sweat (maybe it was the fact that we moved to Miami). So I had to install ceiling fans in each and every room. Since I wear my necklaces every day, as does my mother, my mother- in-law, my best friend, her sister, my neighbor and her dog... my poor ceiling fans looked naked. So, I made a necklace for my new ceiling fans and, lo and behold, Gem Fan Pulls was born!
